Oh, just rub it in why don't you. :)
Okay, I will. —We’re going to be staying in a cabin on the beach with no TV and some books and notebooks and pens, and the Spouse will be bringing her laptop, yes, but she’s mostly going to be writing on it, and even though she wants to bring the Studio Ghibli DVDs to watch on the laptop I might talk her out of it just for the quiet or I might not, we’ll see, but I’m going to get some writing done, by God, and maybe even some reading, and we’ll take long walks on the beach in the fog and the rain and on Saturday we’ll get in a zippy little Zodiac and go puttering about the Broken Group Islands, because one of them, you see, is named Dicebox Island, and Jenn, the Spouse, she does a comic called Dicebox, and so that’s why we’re going on the first actual vacation-type vacation we’ve taken since, what, that whirlwind tour of European art museums in 1995? Well, I suppose I ought to count the honeymoon in 1996. Oh, and maybe the trip to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival in 1998. —Since then it’s been visiting relatives or cons and otherwise bupkes. So. Neener and all that.
Envy... rising... rising!
That's my kind of vacation!
Will you commence breeding?
Behave, Kevin, or no chocolate for you !
Too bad you're not going to be here. I'm angling to see my first-ever Bollywood production this weekend and I really, really wanted to borrow your Cliff Notes. Oh, well...
Just in case you were wondering, we saw "DON" on Saturday. It was great, though I don't know how many people we saw were "somebodys" in the land of '70s Indian Switched-Identity-Gangster Musical Movies. There were pakoras for sale, too. :)
